Breezair air cooler takes control of high summer temperatures

Summer indoor temperatures in this office in Bristol have been reduced from 28°C to 21°C following the installation of a Breezair air cooler.
Excessive indoor temperatures in the group head office of Garden & Leisure have been brought under control by installing a Breezair evaporative air cooler from Seeley International. Staff in this office in Bristol used to experience internal temperatures in excess of 28°C, which have now been reduced to 21°C. Although the 160 m2 offices have a number of windows, even when they were all open the offices were still too hot. Celsius Design specified a single Breezair air cooler installed on the pitched roof. Air is ducted above the existing false ceiling and delivered into the offices via eight 2-way, double-deflection grilles in the ceiling. A wall controller maintains the temperature at the required level. Peter Martin, director of property at Garden & Leisure, says, ‘The difference in temperature in the offices is phenomenal. The Breezair works really well, and everyone is extremely happy with the system, which provides cooling in summer and ventilation throughout the rest of the year.’ Peter Martin further explains, ‘The Breezair was much cheaper to install than conventional air conditioning, and running costs are around 80% less.’ eurosales@seeleyinternational.com
