Waterless trap from USA

Waterless trap, Des Champs Technologies

US-based Des Champs Technologies has introduced the Air Trap RLC Series, the latest addition to their range of waterless-traps. The product is designed for easy and cost-effective installation.

Installed as a positive- or negative-pressure trap, the RLC Series does not require standing water to prevent gas (typically air) from entering or leaving the HVAC unit.

With the occurrence of condensate or other water sources within the unit, the water flows out of the HVAC unit, but no gas flows past the trap.

Where there is no production of water, there is now water in the trap, and no gas passes through the trap.

The RLC Series offers a number of benefits such as the fact that it will never freeze and break; it is pre-designed to prevent on-site errors; and it eliminates sludge build-up at the bottom of a ‘U’ tube.
