Unitrunk prepares for growth

Unitrunk

Cable management specialist, Unitrunk, has secured a trio of accreditations as part of a continuous improvement programme intended to formalise systems within the business and lay consistent foundations for growth.

Following a year-long process of preparation and audits, the company has successfully achieved the ISO 14001 Environmental accreditation and ISO 9001 Quality Assurance accreditation along with OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety accreditation. The OHSAS certification is an internationally-recognised UK-based accreditation for health and safety and Unitrunk expects to transition its systems and best practice in this area to the new ISO 45001 Health & Safety standard when this is introduced next year.

All three certifications formalise processes and systems that have been at the heart of Unitrunk’s business for many years, underpinning the company’s reputation for product quality, customer service, environmental responsibility and safety. They will now support Unitrunk’s culture of continuous improvement through regular reviews and audits, enabling best practice to be applied consistently across the company and new enhancements to be integrated into systems and processes on an ongoing basis.

Unitrunk’s operations director, Graham Milligan says: “The company’s major achievements in the development of our business structure have made this the ideal time to merge our consistent best practices throughout the whole of Unitrunk by implementing an integrated and accredited business management system.”
