The range and sensitivity of digital sensors for relative humidity from Sontay can both be set.
New sensors from Sontay feature the latest digital technology to offer precision measurement for relative humidity in commercial and public buildings. These sensors are available with an accuracy of ±2% or ±3%. They incorporate resilient, self-calibrating digital sensing circuitry to measure up to 100% RH. The sensors provide reduced hysteresis and repeatability of the control signal. The digital electronics is scalable, enabling the operating range to be selected. Sensitivity can also be adjusted. By narrowing the range to the preferred RH, greater accuracy and higher resolution is achieved — which is important in close-control applications. These units can be specified with output signals for enthalpy and dewpoint, particularly useful with air-handling units and chilled beams. These sensors can be integrated into a building’s control system. Outputs of 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 10 V DC can be selected.
