LG makes major appointment for VRF air conditioning

LG has appointed Osprey Air to its growing list of specialist distributors for VRF air conditioning. The company is headed by industry veteran Bob Beattie and will be an LG-brand sole distributor focusing on the Multi V range of VRF and multi-split products. Tony Gittings, managing director of LG Air Conditioning, says, ‘This is a welcome move for both LG and Osprey. We have an established brand name and an international pedigree in VRF. To progress and evolve our business in this country, we need to be partnering firms such as Osprey — specialists who know the ins and outs of the UK air-conditioning market.’ Bob Beattie has worked in the UK air-conditioning industry for 26 years, most of them spent distributing and working with the biggest names in VRF. He was part of the industry vanguard which pioneered the introduction of VRF in the mid 1980s and has been at the forefront of its market development ever since.
