Harrods provides shop window for LG air conditioning

People passing by Harrods in London’s Knightsbridge can note this display of LG Art Cool air-conditioning units in one of the windows. It is sizable display, at 2280 mm wide, 2050 mm high and 550 mm deep and features Art Cool units with mirror surfaces and subdued pastels. Art Cool units come complete with an infra-red remote-control unit to control air circulation and fan operation, check and set room temperature and select operating mode. Mirror units are available with surrounds in blue, cherry, metal, white and wood. Wide units come in blue and metal. Standard units come in blue, metal and wood. Changeable panels are also an option.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
