Alan Weir, ADCAS secretary, says, ‘We have very real concerns that some suppliers are playing fast and loose with standards, even in the crucial area of fire safety. The contractor should ask, ‘Is the product I am buying all that its seems to be. Does it really meet the safety criteria?’ The directory identifies exactly what the standards are for all systems and components related to ductwork, from access doors and attenuators to spiral tube and fittings.
