Powrmatic’s optimum solution for Optima Building

Powrmatic
The ability of Powrmatic’s System 500 flue to serve both condensing and conventional boilers has led to its use on the Optima Building in Glasgow.
Two 40 m-high flue stacks have been supplied for the Optima Building development in Glasgow. One serves two condensing appliances, and the other serves two forced-draught boilers. Gary Yeoman, project engineer with Fluestax, which designed and installed the flue systems, says, ‘System 500 offered the best solution for the Optima building as it serves both condensing and conventional heating appliances. It is also a very reliable system and quick to install.’ System 500 is suitable for both condensing and positive-pressure applications. It incorporates a double-seal push-fit jointing system for ease of installation. The insulation cavity contains 50 mm of solid mineral wool to retain heat and improve draught. jasonlee@powrmatic.co.uk
