Surge in VRF orders for LG

LG’s air-conditioning division has reported a major upswing in orders for its ranges of VRF and mini-VRF systems. Orders have been received for a wide variety of sites — including commercial offices, health centres, sports facilities and retail malls. General manager Tony Gittings says, ‘This big increase is due to a number of reasons. We have full availability of 2- and 3-pipe VRF Multi V, and these are where the orders are concentrated. ‘I think we are now starting to seen the dividends of our massive investment in this marketplace — in terms of both sales and technical personnel — and a solid infrastructure in our purpose-built training academy, which is now fully booked with courses all the way through to next year.’ Another reason he cites is the dramatic increase in VRF sales activity generated by specialist distributors such at LG Comfort Cooling, Osprey Air, Oceanair and Wave.
