Thermal Technology revises its Shallovent range

Thermal Technologies has updated its Shallovent range of heat recovery units to achieve a specific fan power that complies with the latest Building Regulations.
Thermal Technology has completely revised and updated its Shallovent range of low-profile ventilation/heat-recovery units for installing in ceiling voids. The four smallest sizes are only 350 mm high and the three largest units are 450 mm high. All sizes have recuperator bypass dampers, which may be used for free cooling and to avoid overheating. Two more sizes have been added to the range, which can now supply 20 to 950 l/s. Each size is available with a Eurovent-certified plate recuperator for air-to-air energy recovery with an efficiency of up to 70%. This high efficiency will sometimes cause condensation on the exhaust side, so all units have integral drain trays as standard. Directly driven fans are used, and matching fan-speed controllers are available. The specific fan power of all units is below the 2 W/l/s required by Part L2 of the Building Regulations. Water or electric heater batters can be incorporated, and there is a complete range of control options.
