TAC Satchwell brings wireless communication to building-management systems

The first wireless building-management system launched by TAC Satchwell is said to offer an 80% reduction in installation costs. Simply by eliminating the need to install cables between every control point, Andover’s Continuum can save miles of wiring on major installations. Roger Moncur of TAC Satchwell explains, ‘Wiring alone accounts for between 20 and 80% of the cost of the installation of a building-management system, and the benefits of cutting out these costs are obvious. Wireless adapters are now small and attractive, while installation is straightforward and affordable. There is no reason not to consider it.’
