CIBSE national conference

The Stern Review and the Climate Change Bill are both on the agenda of CIBSE’s national conference for 2007. With the theme ‘The business of change’, the conference is at The Hotel Russell in central London on 24 and 25 April. The full theme is ‘The business of change: assessing challenges, defining opportunities and building cities of the future’. There will be speakers from organisations such as the London Climate Change Agency, Thames Gateway, The Carbon Trust, British Property Federation and the Department for Communities & Local Government. More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
