HFL Building Solutions wins maintenance contract for The Lowry

The building-services maintenance contract for The Lowry in Salford Quays has been awarded to HFL Building Solutions of Manchester. It covers the entire gallery’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting and power. The contract includes a 24-hour emergency call-out with a maximum 4-hour response time. An engineer will also be permanently based at the gallery. John Toomer, facilities manager at The Lowry, said, ‘We were impressed by HFL Business Solutions’ approach and depth of technical knowledge. With such a large and technically complex building, it is essential for us to have a company on standby at all times with strong local knowledge, and HFL can offer this.’

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
