AMEC wins contract for two new schools in Salford

AMEC has won a £36 million contract to design and deliver two new secondary schools in Salford. It was awarded by Hochtief PPP Solutions for Harrop Fold High School and Buile Hill High School. These schools have a combined area of 18 000 m2 and will be ready for the school year starting in September 2008. John Moss, managing director of AMEC’s design and project-services business, says, ‘This new contract provides further evidence of our expertise and continued commitment to the growing education market. By working closely with Hochtief PPP Solutions and Salford City Council, our integrated design and delivery teams will deliver innovative and inspirational learning environments for the City of Salford.’
