Extra dates for CPD renewable-energy seminars

Mitsubishi Electric has announced more dates for its series of free CPD-approved seminars on renewable energy following the success of the four held from September to January at its conference suite in Hatfield. The events are designed to help consultants and contractors understand the issues surrounding the requirement for renewable energy that will dominate building and planning permission in the future. Many local authorities have already made a requirement for renewable energy a part of planning regulations. Dates are 15 March, 18 April, 17 May and 20 June. More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
