Ground-source heat pumps from Dimplex now qualify for grants in the second phase of the DTI’s Low Carbon Buildings Programme.
Dimplex has been appointed an approved supplier of ground-source heat pumps under the second phase of the DTI’s Low Carbon Buildings Programme. £50 million is available over the next 18 months to help fund the installation of ground-source heat pumps and other micro-generation technologies for schools, public-sector and not-for-profit buildings, as well as local-authority and housing-association housing projects. The grants provide subsidies of 35% of the total purchase and installation cost of ground-source heat pumps. Dimplex, through its national network of ClearSkies-approved heat-pump installer partners, provides a complete service from heating-system design and installation to commissioning and after-sales support. The Dimplex range includes single-phase ground-source heat pumps from 5 to 14 kW for domestic installations and larger models from 17 to 50 kW for schools and other non-domestic buildings.
