Bitzer has published a guide to its Octagon range of compressors. This 12-page publication details the background to this versatile compressor which was launched in 1998 and had sold over 400 000 by the middle of 2006. They were originally developed for low-temperature applications but are also suitable for air-conditioning and heat-pump systems. Octagon compressors are described as environmentally friendly and high-efficiency with low running costs, compact design, low noise and low life-cycle costs.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
