Inviron increases partnership with Land Securities

Inviron
Greater London House in Camden Town, originally built as a factory for the Carreras Tobacco Company, is one of 14 sites of Land Securities in London for which Inviron is managing electrical and mechanical services.
Inviron is now responsible for managing the mechanical and electrical services at 14 prestigious sites in London of Land Securities. They include Land Securities’ own offices in the Strand and commercial, retail and office premises. About 24 Inviron staff will be involved, and Inviron has added a new help desk to its London office to interface with the existing Trillium help desk of Land Securities. Inviron took over provision of the M&E services of Cardinal Place in London in March. This 60 000 m2 development comprises office and retail space. Last October, Inviron began managing M&E services of the Portland House portfolio, which consists of 30 000 m2 of commercial, retail and residential buildings. Neil John, general manager at Inviron’s London business centre, says, ‘A crucial factor in securing this new contract was our innovative customer-care strategy, Inviron DNA, which centres around identifying clients’ needs and where the services can be improved upon in order to not only meet, but exceed clients’ expectations.’ Inviron had previously worked with Land Securities at Regis House in London for eight years. During this time, we helped reduce carbon emissions by raising awareness of energy efficiency, ensuring plant run times reflected occupation times and that unused lights were switched off. Emissions were reduced by 29%, saving around £44 000 a year. Richard Weavers, head of engineering with Land Securities, adds, ‘We appointed Inviron as our London service partner as it is a pro-active organisation that delivers beyond the contract and also its partnership approach was refreshing.’
