Hall Fire sprinkler system confines damage in hotel

confines damage in hotel The value of fire sprinklers in hotel rooms was demonstrated in the Liverpool Marriott hotel in mid-July when a single sprinkler operated in a room and completely extinguished a fire before the fire service arrived some two minutes after the first call. Damage was confined to a small amount of direct burning and a little water damage in the room and corridor. The fire service reports that the spread of fire and smoke would have caused more damage if the sprinklers had not been fitted. It is thought that the fire was caused by the hair drier in the room. This is one of many Marriott hotels that Hall Fire Protection has retrofitted with sprinklers recently. The Liverpool Marriott was completed last year.
