Climate-control specialists Tekion has launched a franchise division — Tekion Climate Controls — and appointed its first franchisee, Chris Petty from Huddersfield. With big plans for the future, Chris is looking forward to growing the business. ‘The demand for energy-efficient air-conditioning systems will continue to grow and, coupled with Tekion’s high customer service standards, there is tremendous potential.’ Established in 2003, Tekion supplies a range of energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly A-rated units (suitable for heating and cooling), and ducted, heat-recoverable systems to customers across the UK.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
