LG VRF system delivers heating and cooling from one outdoor unit

LG’s Multi V Sync VRF air-conditioning system is said to deliver significant benefits when used to provide simultaneous heating and cooling.
LG’s Multi V Sync VRF air-conditioning system can deliver simultaneous heating and cooling from just one outdoor unit. This heat-recovery system allows indoor units to be designated or switched between heating and cooling as required. Heat removed from a room being cooled can be used to heat other rooms and achieve an overall energy balance. There is no loss of capacity when an indoor unit changes from heating to cooling, or visa-versa — overcoming the heat/cool changeover lag that is said to be the main drawback with 3-pipe heat-recovery system. LG says that a Multi V Sync system has fewer branch joints, less piping and, therefore, fewer brazing points than other manufacturers’ systems. One system can handle up to 40 indoor units from the company’s range of ceiling cassettes, ceiling-concealed-ducted, ceiling and floor mounted, ceiling suspended, wall mounted and Art Cool indoor units.
