Looking to raise £2000 for the Anthony Nolan Trust by running in the London Marathon on 13 April is Simon Russell, southern divisional manager with Heatrae Sadia. This leukaemia charity is close to his heart. 15 years ago, the 7-year-old son of a friend was diagnosed with leukaemia, and the trust help him to find a tissue match. Since then Simon Russell has been on the bone-marrow register himself and is keen to promote the charity while raising as much money as possible. This is his second London marathon. He achieved a time of 4 h 30 min in 2007 and hopes to better that time this year. To help him reach his target, Heatrae Sadia has sponsored £500. Readers can sponsor him at the address below.
