Understanding the rules and issues on energy efficiency in buildings — ebm-papst’s interactive CD.
An interactive CD designed to inform and educate industry on some of the implications of changing Government legislation on energy efficiency in buildings has been developed by ebm-papst, manufacturer of fan drives and motor technologies. Addressing two main areas, regulatory issues and system solutions, the CD identifies methods of saving money within building services. It also highlights some of the key regulatory issues that are affecting engineering and Building Regulations. The CD explores and explains key areas and issues such as the Kyoto Agreement, EU Directives (including ECO-Design), the Government White Paper on a low-carbon economy, Building Regulations (particularly the Approved Document L relating to the conversion of fuel and power) and Approved Document F relating to ventilation and condensation in roofs.
