Modusat provides heating and cooling for Hove residential development

Modusat, heating, cooling, Evinox
Geminox centralised boiler plant provide heating and hot water for this development of Belmont Homes in Hove via Geminox Modusat units in each apartment.
Evinox is providing Belmont Homes with the Geminox Modusat for heating and cooling at Coast, its latest development in Hove. The Modusat units in the 68 apartments will be supplied with hot water from four Geminox boilers providing just 400 kW overall. The four penthouses will use the heating-and-cooling version of Modusat, with the remaining 64 apartments using the underfloor-heating version. The control system uses air temperature, flow temperature and humidity to deliver the correct flow temperature for cooling. Each penthouse will have its own small air-to-water heat-pump chiller to feed the cooling circuit of the Modusat, which will supply heated or chilled water to the Rehau underfloor pipework. A simple changeover from winter to summer activates the cooling circuit. This approach to cooling cools the fabric of the building, so there will be no draughts or fan noise.
