Trane moves into variable-speed drives

Trane’s VarioTrane range of variable-speed drives can be used in a wide range of plant incorporating fans and pumps to control the speed of motors and reduce energy consumption — while at the same time improving performance compared with constant-speed systems. Equipment in the TR1 series is compatible with nearly all protocols for building-automation systems, such as LonWorks, BACnet and Modbus RTU. Complete interoperability can be achieved between the various types of equipment, and operators have numerous detailed views and excellent control of system performance. comfort@trane.com
