Pegler Yorkshire offers innovations for successful commissioning

Pegler Yorkshire’s Proflow Venturi range of valves incorporate a range of features for successful commissioning.
Pegler Yorkshire’s Proflow Venturi range of valves is described as offering a unique and modern approach to commissioning heating and chilled-water systems. These valves have a venturi orifice that gives a measuring accuracy within ±3% across the entire range of valves and which eliminates the need for upstream or downstream straight pipe runs of three to five times the pipe diameter if an accurate reading is to be obtained. The shape of the venturi nozzle gives a higher and cleaner signal, typically 10 to 30 kPa, depending on flow rate, without the pressure loss associated with more conventional orifice plates. Proflow Venturi valves use a quarter-turn ball valve for isolation and a needle valve for regulation — all in the same body. This design enables a valve to be isolated without changing the setting. Internal design features enable these valves to be installed in any orientation, even with test points facing down.
