ABB consumer unit helps comply with 17th Edition

A new consumer unit for domestic and light commercial applications from ABB features a flexible split-load option providing protection and isolation capabilities. The main isolating switch feeds either two essential circuits and controls any other circuits via two residual current devices (RCDs), whilst a second variation offers isolator control of just the two RCD sections. Another key feature of the Housemaster Compact spit-load consumer unit is its ability to accommodate non-standard configurations, instead of being confined to typical combinations of 4+4 or 6+6 only. It provides extra flexibility by enabling installers to achieve variations such as 3+5 or 2+6.
