CORGI to be replaced

Capita has been named as the preferred bidder in the competition to provide a new registration scheme for gas installers in the UK. It will replace the scheme currently operated by CORGI. The announcement comes from the Health & Safety Executive. The new scheme will start in April 2009. Capita will have incentives to continuously improve gas safety and services to gas consumers and installers, but there will also be financial implications should they not meet the agreed performance indicators.
