Polypipe Terrain boosts production capacity

Representing an investment of about £1 million in the factory of Polypipe Terrain at Aylesford in Kent is a new HDPE extrusion line and three additional injection-moulding machines — giving a significant increase in capacity. Additional storage capacity has also been created. The investment has enabled the company to bring some extrusion and moulding operations on to the site. Lee Dawes, finance director of Polypipe Terrain, ‘These have been very significant steps in our programme to develop the Aylesford operation. We are investing heavily in the long-term future of the plant and in the development of the skills and experience that is available to us here, following the acquisition of Terrain by Polypipe last summer.’
