Colt scores big at Highbury
The £600 000 contract for the smoke ventilation of corridors and staircases in the residential development of Highbury Stadium has been awarded to Colt International.
Colt International has won a major contract for the new residential development on the site of Arsenal Football Club’s old stadium with a £60 000 project for the complete package associated with the smoke ventilation of the corridors and staircases. Highbury Square will be six storeys high and centred around the old football pitch, which will become a communal garden. Simon Angold of M&E contractor NG Bailey says, ‘Colt’s OPV control network allows centralised monitoring, a key requirement of this project. In addition to controls and detection, Colt is providing automatic opening vents, Doorman individually addressable and controllable door actuation systems, Defender motorised smoke and fire dampers, as well as magnetic latching systems for cross-corridor fire doors.
