HRP addresses future training needs with new technical centre

Training for the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry — HRP’s new technical centre at Slough.
HRP Group has established a new 1850 m2 technical centre in Slough in partnership with air-conditioning manufacturer Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It offers a comprehensive range of courses developed with the Grimsby Institute of Further & Higher Education in a hands-on environment. The first courses offered cover air conditioning and refrigeration, and will be expanded to other building-services trades in the future. The centre can provide training courses for up to 800 delegates a month. Facilities include purpose-built practical training rooms with live systems for expert, hands-on tuition. Mandy Pilgrim, managing director of HRP Group, says, ‘With increasing legislation, the need to provide high-quality training in the air-conditioning and refrigeration industry has never been greater. Having the right skill levels to meet the challenges of the future is the key issue facing our industry. With the support of MHI, the technical centre will enable us to promote excellence in air conditioning, refrigeration and across the building-services industry.’
