Compact circuit breakers monitor power and energy

Schneider Electric’s new Compact NSX range of moulded-case circuit breakers offers options for monitoring and communication — including both energy and power for what is said to be the first time. Measured and processed data can be displayed locally on an integrated liquid-crystal display, remotely on the switchboard front panel using the functional display module or via a gateway to the monitoring systems. It is compatible with Schneider Electric’s PowerLogic monitoring software, which provides parameter sets and tools for comprehensive monitoring. Electronic protection modules incorporate three LEDs to give an immediate and clear indication of operational status and fault identification. Well suited to starting and running motors, the Compact NSX provides protection against short circuits, phase imbalance and loss. There are additional protection functions for starting and breaking with the motor running, jogging and reversing.
