Grundfos invests in Serbia

Grundfos is to invest nearly Eu80 million setting up a new pump factory in Serbia. 15 ha of land has been purchased in Indjija, 42 km north of Belgrade and close to main transport links. The new factory will initially create 300 to 500 jobs. This move follows a period of intensive growth and increasing demand for Grundfos products in central and eastern Europe. Serbia could become a candidate for EU membership next year, and Grundfos already has sales offices in Belgrade. Grundfos is one of the first western companies to invest so heavily in the country
