Lindab introduces new approach to circular ductwork

Durapipe
Lindab is introducing a new circular ductwork system that will improve the speed and efficiency of installation — cutting overall costs and improving the environment on site. Safe Click eliminates the need for special tools, screws or rivets. Duct and fittings slot together with a single click. Lindab Safe Click complements the existing range of Safe fittings, which comprises a complete range of presealed components to create a circular ductwork system with minimum leakage very quickly. The double-lipped gasket makes a seal without the need for additional sealants. Recent tests by BSRIA showed that the Safe system halved installation time and cost 20% less than the traditional approach. Leakage was also much reduced, with Safe ductwork having 44% the leakage of a system constructed with traditional components. Safe Click is designed to be used with the Lindab SR Cutter, which will be shown for the first time in the UK at the H&V09 exhibition at the NEC towards the end of February.
