Guidance on new cable colours published

Changes to the cable colours in fixed electrical installations are detailed in the publication of Amendment No. 2 to The IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2001). For a 2-year period, cables in the old or new colours, but not both, can be used in new installations. Only the new colours will be permitted after 31 March 2006.
