Passive infra-red occupancy switches, made by Danlers have been installed at UK Storage in Bridgwater to cover 400 individual storage units. Long-range directional switches (pictured) with coverage up to 25 m, ceiling flush-mounted and ceiling surface-mounted PIR occupancy switches were also supplied.

These controls make possible considerable cost and energy savings by automatically switching lights on when an area is occupied and off when the area is vacant for a chosen duration

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
