Preformed base for wetroom showers is easy to install

Purus

Purus has introduced a preformed base for wetroom showers that is easy to install. The Maxxus wetfloor former is designed to facilitate level-access showering on timber or concrete flooring in a variety of formats up to 1500 x 800 mm.

Among its many benefits are a totally flat underside, which enables the drain to be rotated to the ideal position during installation, and no release agent to inhibit the bonding of adhesives for vinyl tiles on its surface or for tanking or membranes.

Maxxus is designed to be used with the Purus Minimax (illustrated) a 70 mm plus 6 mm fall wetroom drain incorporating a no-odour trap without a water seal.

The Maxxus wetfloor has been tested under static load at metre centres and will comfortably support a sustained load of 470 kg, making it ideal for care homes and adaptations.
