FG Eurofred targets commercial air conditioning

FG Eurofred

FG Eurofred is targeting the UK commercial air-conditioning market with the launch of two Fujitsu product ranges. They are the Airstage V-II VRF system and the Commercial Inverter 3-phase single and multi-split range.

Features of the Airstage V-II VRF system include inverter technology and large heat exchangers. They achieve an EER for cooling of 4.07 and a COP for heating of 4.37 — improvements of 27% and 18%, respectively, over the previous models.

The physical size has been reduced substantially by 28 to 52%, depending on model and capacity. Units are also 20% lighter than previous models and have air intakes on the front so they can be installed against one another to take up less space.

Five outdoor units have cooling capacities from 22 to 45 kW which can be combined to deliver up to 135 kW. Indoor units can have up to 150% of the capacity of the outdoor units. Total pipe length is 1000 m with the maximum pipe distance between outdoor unit and furthest indoor unit of 150 m.

There are 11 types of indoor units with a total of 49 models from 2.2 to 25 kW. Up to 48 indoor units can be connected to a single system.

There is a wide range of wired and wireless remote controllers. Central control can be maintained via a traditional group remote controller, a new intuitive touch-panel controller or the new Fujitsu systems controller software.

Available from July will be the 3-phase commercial inverter single- and multi-split range. With an AA energy-efficiency rating and highly cost effective, there will be three outdoor units with cooling capacities of 10, 12.5 and 14 kW.

There will be a choice of 10 indoor models for use with the single-split version, including cassettes, duct and ceiling units.

Multi-splits systems will have a choice of 12 indoor units, up to three of which can be connected to one outdoor unit.

Up to 16 indoor units can be managed by a single controller.

Efficiency is enhanced by high-performance twin DC compressors and a high-efficiency DC fan motor. Maximum pipe length is 75 m, with a maximum height difference of 30 m.
