Kentec system watches for firemen

Kentec

The command centre of West Sussex Fire Authority and fire stations across the county are now safeguarded by open-protocol fire-alarm systems that interface with Kentec Syncro AS analogue addressable control panels.

Open-protocol detectors from Apollo have been installed as part of the L2 system in station installations at Chichester, Bognor, Worthing, Horley, Haywards Heath, Horsham and Crawley. The high integrity of fire-data intelligence is a special feature of these systems to minimise the potential for false alarms, with heat detectors in vehicle bays, kitchens and other areas that can often be the source of false alarms. Intrinsically safe detectors are installed in hazardous areas.
