Wall-mounted splits achieve very high efficiencies

MHIE

Very high EERs and COPs are claimed for the wall-mounted SRK-ZIX range of inverter heat-pump single splits from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Europe. Cooling EER is 5.71, with a heating COP of 5.56.

Five models offer cooling capacities from 2 to 6 kW and heating from 2.5 to 6.8 kW. All units have anti-allergen and deodorising filters.

These units can be teamed up with SRC-ZIX outdoor units, which can be up to 15 m away with a height separation of 10 m for smaller units and 30 m distance and 20 m height separation for larger units.

Depending on model, mode and setting, noise levels can be as low as 21 dB(A).

Baxi research suggests schools strongly support heat decarbonisation

A survey conducted by Baxi of 200 state school estates managers, consultant engineers and M&E contractors has found that while enthusiasm for Net Zero and support for low carbon heating systems in schools is thriving, persistent barriers remain.
