DHW module uses reject heat from air-conditioning system

Daikin AirConditioning

Daikin Airconditioning has introduced a DHW module that can be connect to the refrigeration circuit of a Daikin VRVIII HR heat-recovery system to use heat extracted from a building.

Designed mainly for commercial offices, units are available with heating capacities of 8 and 16 kW and have a built-in circulating pump. Hot water can be delivered at up to 50°C to an associated stainless-steel cylinder of 150, 200 or 300 l capacity. A 3 kW electric booster heater in the upper section of the cylinder and the heat-pump heat exchanger in the lower part are controlled to minimise the cost of water heating.

All hot-water controls and user interface are within the module.
