Power Electrics worked with Evans Electrical to install this 1250 kVA standby generator at Centrica’s offices in Cardiff.

Power Electrics has installed a 1250 kVA standby generator in the basement car park of Centrica in Cardiff by digging a pit to provide the required headroom. The company worked closely with electrical contractor Evans Electrical to install this diesel generator, control system and bulk fuel tank.

The work included the construction of a plant room to reduce noise levels to 65 dB(A) at 1 m and a flue extension to clear the roof of the eighth floor of the building.

Nik Mason, director of Evans Electrical, commented, ‘This was a particularly demanding application, and it was completed on time and within budget thanks to Power Electrics’ expertise and their ability to successfully co-ordinate all the trades on site.’
