Plumbers sign charity CD deal

Rock-‘n-roll plumbers from south London and a nationwide distributor have signed a deal to record a charity CD to be released in September and distributed across the UK. The four plumbers from Pimlico Plumbers based in Lambeth, whose band is Never Mind the Ballcocks, were crowned ‘Workplace wonders’ in BBC 1’s talent show ‘Tonight’s the night’.

Their charity CD will include ‘Burning love’ and ‘Splish splash, I’m taking a bath’. Other tracks will include the Queen classic ‘Crazy little thing called love, and a popular bonus track, the Ballcocks’ version of ‘Valerie’.

The CD will be sold in Plumb Centers and Parts Centers across the UK, with all profits going to Action for Children and The Prince’s Trust.

The band consists of heating engineer Stuart Dunne (lead vocals and guitar), Martin Botley (lead guitar), heating engineer Robbie Glanfield (bass guitar and backup vocals) and Billy Kikidis (drums.
