Lightweight plenum box is quick to install

This non-metallic plenum box is light enough to rest on top of a diffuser grille.

A lightweight and fully insulated plenum box is over 75% lighter than a metal equivalent, so that it can simply rest on top of a ceiling grille. The Prelite Plenum is made from rigid phenolic insulation panel faced on both sides with a black foil to prevent reflections through the grille. Trials are said to have shown that a Prelite plenum can be installed four times more quickly than a traditional box and a saving of up to 20% in installation cost achieved.
