Fast-fix detector base cuts time wasted on site

Protec

Protec has introduced a fast-fix base for its recently introduced Algo-Tec 6000Plus range of fire-detection sensors.

The design enables the sensor to be connected and commissioned before the ceiling is installed, if necessary, to save time at a critical period for a project. The whole system can then be commissioned as normal. When the ceiling is installed, the sensor, still coupled to the base, is pulled through a hole cut for it in the ceiling tile. A bezel is then attached to the sensor, and the unit is secured using integral clamp arms.
