Birmingham Coach Station achieves high environmental standards

Birmingham’s new coach station has achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating — with the help of M&E and sustainable-engineering design solutions by EDCM Consulting. The development, for National Express, includes a green roof and rainwater-harvesting system. It has achieved a B-rated Energy Performance Certificate and CO2 emissions 19% lower than required by current Building Regulations.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
