When copper tube began disappearing from this apartment development, the contractor switched to Durapipe SupaFLO tube.

Following a spate of thefts of copper tube from the site of a development of retirement apartments in Eaglescliffe, County Durham, Acorn Plumbing & Heating switched to Durapipe’s SuperFLO plastic pipework for the project. It was used in sizes up to 75 mm to distribute cold mains water to each of the 48 apartments in the block.

Neil Rickaby of Acorn also found that SuperFLO brought other benefits to the project. He said, ‘The lightweight material and solvent cement jointing of SuperFLO makes it so easy to work with. I made the installation process much simpler and quicker, making us significant cost savings.’
