Inverter-controlled Mr Slim air-conditioning units from Mitsubishi can reduce power consumption by up to 50%
Mitsubishi Electric’s Mr Slim Power Inverter range has been extended with 8 and 10 hp units to offer an increased capacity of 28 kW with the potential of reducing power consumption by up to 50%. These 3-phase models can replace R22 units, using existing wiring and piping, thanks to the company’s ‘replace’ technology. There is no need to replace or clean pipework with specialist equipment. It can be reused with R410A after pressure checking. One, two or four indoor units can be served by one outdoor unit to provide cooling for large areas. Pipe runs can be up to 80 m. Inverter technology reduces starting currents to 5 A or less. Improved fan-blade design and a new grille shape enables noise levels as low as 55 dB(A) to be achieved.
