Fire suppression for three kitchen areas of Derby College is provided by five K-Series systems from Nobel Fire Systems and commissioned by Catering Projects. The college has 20 000 full- and part-time students, and the fire-suppression system provides full protection to all cooking appliances, extract canopies and ductwork.

The K-Series wet chemical systems from Nobel are individually engineered for each application following comprehensive risk management that takes into account the required of successful fire suppression and a client’s interruption potential.

The company’s systems have been installed in many commercial kitchens in the UK and Europe.
