Daikin chillers use oil-free centrifugal compressors

Daikin chillers, oil free compressor, chiller

Oil-free centrifugal compressors with magnetic bearings are used in Daikin Europe’s EWWD-FZ range of chillers. There is no need for oil as a lubricant, eliminating associated maintenance and reliability issues. These compressors also help make this range one of the most efficient on the market.

There are six sizes of chiller with cooling capacities from 320 to 1050 kW. All units have onboard monitoring and diagnostics and can be easily integrated with external control systems such as building-management systems and sequencing panels.

The compressors have an integrated variable-frequency drive, which, with flooded evaporators, giving EERs of up to 6.0 and ESEERs of up to 9.6.
